ANTHONY CARON
Private Chef
Tony’s passion for cooking began at an early age, learning side by side with his grandmothers. Family gatherings were centered around food that offered more than flavor. It created comfort, connection, and lasting memories.
After they passed, something was missing. Although the food was still good, it lacked that deeper feeling. Tony stepped in to carry on their legacy. Today, his clients often say his meals remind them of something their own grandmother would have made, evoking a sense of nostalgia and home.
After a decade in the film industry, Tony changed course and pursued cooking full time. He started over as a prep cook and dishwasher in Queens, later moving to Santa Monica, where he built over 20 years of experience. He has worked with respected chefs, helped open restaurants, and served as a private chef for large groups.
His journey took him to Sicily, where he lived in his great grandmother’s home and immersed himself in traditional cooking. Travel through Korea and Japan further shaped his style, deepening his appreciation for precision and technique.
During COVID, Tony developed a personalized meal service and embraced a philosophy of food as medicine, inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic principles.
Today, he focuses on organic, locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices. His food is designed to nourish both body and spirit, bringing people back to a feeling they thought they had lost.
